of rural Japan, Ryo Murakami has developed a

International Film Festival favorite, BUTTONS.
Murakami is a graduate of Brooklyn College's film program and finalist at the Zoom In Awards, where Albert Maysles, "Direct Cinema" creator and one of Murakami's inspirations, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Murakami was the Director of Photography for the feature length documentary film RUN FOR YOUR LIFE, which will have its World Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2008.
